We were unable to get the 10K organized for this October for economic reasons.
As you know, the organization of the race is all volunteer and we are a 100% non-profit
organization, no one takes a salary unlike most of the other trail races. However State Park fees have increased
substantially, we were missing most of our usual sponsors due to the economy and we didn’t want to raise entrance fees on our runners in this economy. However...
WE WILL HAVE THE TOPANGA 10K IN MAY 2010 ON THE SATURDAY, MAY 29TH OF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.
Registration will be available through Active.com starting in March 2010. If you would like to be notified when registration opens, please contact us and we'll send you a note. We will also update our website.
On a personal note, I have been running in the race almost since its beginning in the late 70's and have been one of the race directors for almost 20 years. We have had cancellations before and we will weather this one.
I will see that the Tough Topanga 10K continues.
